Autumn is a beautiful 5 y.o. KMSHA filly, (DOB 09/14/07). She has a red chocolate coat, with a flaxen mane & tail. Autumn currently stands 15.1hh and will likely finish at this height with a compact build. Autumn is a real people-horse; she runs right up to you in the field and loves to be around people. She's also super sweet and very gentle. Autumn's bloodlines include the famous stallions “Tiajuana Taxi”, “Choco Dock” and “Tobe”.
Autumn is under saddle; learning her lateral work and strengthening her gaiting muscles. Autumn's gait is smooth and consistent, with a low-medium shuffle. She can gait nice and slow, or even quite fast without losing her rhythm. Autumn also has a wonderfully collected rocking horse canter. This little filly might be young in years, but she's got all the right buttons already in place. She is quiet, easy to work with and very light in your hands. Working off just a gentle snaffle bit both in the ring and out on the trail. Autumn's training has included round pen, sand ring, road and trail work. In the round pen she learned bending/sending, lateral/vertical flexion, lounging (both free and on line), back-up, etc. In the sand ring she learned to complete a trail course. Including going over a bridge, through a gate, pole bending, dogs-leg back-up, standing on a tarp, through a cowboy curtain, walking through water, etc. In the fall of 2010 Autumn's trail training truly began when she started trailering out to different regional forest all over Ontario, including over night camping. She can ride out with large and small groups of horses. Autumn even hops on and off the trailer beautifully too.
Autumn is certified to breed. That means she has been examined by 3 registry officials and found to exceed the breed standards for gait, conformation and temperament, (including while gaiting continuously for 4 minutes). Only foals from certified parents are allowed to be registered with the RMHA & KMSHA. You'll know a horse is certified when there is a big gold seal on the bottom left corner of the registrations papers.
